12/07/2024 ==> man it's been ages since i've done one of these:

had another update a while ago that i forgot to do a log for but i think i mostly just fiddled with the about me fake undertale recreation page
today i didnt really do much, just fix stuff up responsiveness wise so that it looks better on phones and different resolutions or browser window sizes and stuff
did i ever mention the fact that i remade my 404 page? well, now you know

12/05/2024 ==> it's just after midnight but i put in (technically) yesterday's date:

havent written up one of these in a while.. haven't done any updates substantial enought to feel they warranted a writeup
got an idea of mine working a while back between updates for the tma shrine, now if you click certain images, music plays! only implemented a single image so far, but with this i can do a whole lot of interesting things if i so choose. aah i need to go properly learn javascript!!
just touched up the tma shrine a bit and added a noscript warning for those who can't/won't use javascript
slightly improved the look of the navigation section and updated the links sitewide, no more linking to old pages except for my about page which i still haven't redone!!!
actually added stuff to the credits page, still have to actually sort it properly but it looks better now i think
made a small "back to top" box that i may or may not implement sitewide. on one hand it may be added visual clutter on smaller screens on the other it's more convenient than only having it at the bottom of a page.. hm decisions decisions....
trying to work on the misona page but i can't land on a way to present the information that i like.. hrmph
updated the footers on nearly all the pages, specifically last update date (today)
fixed up blinkies page ever so slightly

28/04/2024 ==> told myself that this was going to be a quickie and wouldn't be enough work to justify an update log, but here we are i guess:

responsiveness testing! figured out how to use the dead space that appears at certain viewport widths, just make the content boxes wider to take up the space!
had to tinker with that a bit so it works on my landing page, but it does so nicely now!
it was always called the hall of memory. why would you even think otherwise?

switched around the order of the naming scheme so it reads better. now it's "PAGE NAME || limitless light" instead of the other way around
updated my neighbours box and added a section for deactivated neighbours cause i don't want to just take them off my page :(
worked some more on the misona page, might be ready soon for public viewership
managed to get some fonts working for a total revamp of the about me page that i've been planning
generally touched up my homepage
even more small updates to my stylesheet, who knew having a custom stylesheet would be so much work? fixed the box (like the one you're reading this in!) not adapting to different screen sizes, among other things

what it says, say hello to my new landing page, now with 200% more black!
figured out a cool naming scheme for my site, though i'll have to incorporate it better later. from now on this website is officially named limitless light!

14/04/2024 ==> KRIIIIIIIIIS WHERE THE HELL ARE WE:

moved again! this time it's way more dramatic, new custom stylesheet applied!
haven't been updating this update log despite doing a whole lot cause i've only gotten around to making the changes public. um, today.
413 + 1, i shoulda gotten this done yesterday..
too many new things in the stylesheet to count, but i've begun migrating pages including the credits and resources, blinkies, and home page so far
well actually i'm not done with the credits migration but i'm tired so i'll do it later

huh, been a while since i've done one of these
haven't added anything but i have been working on a few things
lowkey forgot about the TMA webshrine cause i was HELLA engrossed in another podcast, also by rusty quill (horror podcast webshrine two: the seconding?!?!). anyway shoutout to WOE.BEGONE
spent a whole lot of time developing a new stylesheet (that's the "secret" thing i was working on), i think i've gotten to a point where i can start migrating my pages onto that

11/03/2024 ==> ACTUALLY PLAY GAMES.:

found out why my imood thing didn't colour properly, so i fixed that sitewide
actually added the games subpage to the site! or, to be more accurate, to the navigation bar
tweaked the homepage to accurately reflect the new games subpage, also made the pages description easier to read by bolding key words
added the cool scrolly sidebar that's in my blinkies page to the tma shrine and optimised it for that!

04/03/2024 ==> PLAY GAMES!!! (and quizzes):

organised the games subpage and added a quizzes section! also added my results to the page
struggling with security stuff re: quizzes section so i'll probably have to rework that before i link it in my header i.e. release it to the public
worked some more on my magnus archives shrine! now with a proper colour scheme and fancy sections! and even proper usage of headings with different levels of importance! who knew they weren't just different sizes and had important semantic meanings aside from that? me now!

25/02/2024 ==> neighbours added to site!:

pretty much what it says on the tin, removed the placeholding wizard gif and added buttons or links to homepage
minor formatting changes to the about me page, including an update for my fanlistings section
started proper work on a magnus archives webshrine..! this is my first shrine ever so i hope i can make a nice one..
divvied up the update section by month!
worked on the games subpage some more..! i'd forgotten about it for a minute there, haha

17/02/2024 ==> secret page? what page?:

FIGURED OUT WHAT WAS FUCKING UP THE BACKGROUND FOR MY SECRET PAGE!!!!! can't believe it was as simple as switching margin to padding...
disregard the last point, there is no secret page. it would be quite silly if there was a secret page. anyway theoretically if there were one it would have been spruced up a little by adding a border and improving the background and also WAIT..
oh this is a little embarrassing.. turns out the page was linked wrong.. curse you absolute urls!! anyway, that was fixed, carry on
speaking of, i changed the website url! i just removed the dashes, so it's now aclumpofmoss instead of a-clump-of-moss. i was forgetting the dashes most of the time anyway
restructured footer so it's more semantically valid/correct (i think..? in any case, ive been meaning to remove the "this website doesn't have a button" button for a while now, because i do have one now!)
and that brings me to my next point. i have not one, not two, but three button options for you to choose from! they're linked on my homepage for now
speaking of, check out that sick animation i did for the buttons B). i'll probably improve that later, but it is still "pretty" "rad" immhoo (in my most humble of opinions)

started work on a comment/chat box! i'm still tweaking the theme so i won't implement it for a bit, but it's coming along nicely
something top secret is in the works..! i don't expect anything to come out of it anytime soon, but i'm really excited!
going to kill two birds with one stone by filling the features sidebar with people's buttons!! i've been trying to figure out forever where to put them and also what to do about the empty sidebar. sorry birds :P

08/02/2024 ==> hide & seek:

grouped the blinkies page into sections. it looks the same on the outside, but it results in neater code
found out how to hide and show things without using javascript!!! woohoo
on that note, new subpage coming soon (hopefully)
added a bunch of blinkies to the blinkie page

30/01/2024 ==> new subpage up and runnning!:

added the blinkies subpage to the navigation bar! changed up the decorative emojis up there too
FINALLY figured out what was wrong with the top bar (the one that tells you what page you're currently on) when it came to mobile display. it was the padding! fixed it, which will vastly improve the experience for non-desktop folks
figured out how to externally link scripts which streamlines the code for these pages. took me long enough tbh

23/01/2024 ==> everything's connected:

linked up a few pages. added more stuff to the images page along with alt text
added unique ids to some sections and divs (divisions), enabling me to more efficiently link to specific parts of a page
cool scroll-y box in the images section now has table of contents in it for extra functionality

21/01/2024 ==> images...:

added a lot of alt text for the landing page and for the images page (which will be linked soon!)
added a cool accompanying-as-you-scroll box to the pictures page
testing out site button (!!) implementation. still needs some finetuning, so i won't be adding it to the rest of the site just yet. for now it's just here on the credits page
added a bunch of horizontal rules (those grey thin horizontal lines) everywhere
changed up the titles of the subpages (the text that appears up in the tab). probably will change them again later, but i figured this would be a good first step

13/01/2024 ==> starting to implement animations!:

wasn't planning on updating today but i got curious and wanted to try implementing a thing so here i am now
- the thing was adding a glow effect to the update box on hover and also on focus
modified the accent colour which shouldn't impact much now, but would if i ever implemented certain types of input later
ended up working on the credits, organised into sections and added some things

moved the site updates to the credits & resources section! hello! this used to be on the homepage, but now it's here
rebalanced the landing page a little and added a cool gif to tie in with the lyric marquees
the credits page now follows the same standard as the others! header footer sidebar etc
slightly fixed up the page template, also i have a proper page template now!! making new pages should be much easier now
wrote some stuff for the about me section! that was technically a couple of days ago but i got busy and so i'm adding it now

01/01/2024 ==> the Big update:

finally made my landing page look semi presentable !
added a bunch of gifs and graphics to my home page!
standardised my homepage and added a proper intro
it may not sound like a lot but it took so much work! i feel like this is finally progressing past "barebones structure" into "established work in progress"
resized some elements to make them fit better

technically this is a bunch of updates from the past few days rolled into one announcement
changed the font colour, gonna tweak that later but decided it was better like this
